  • Welcome to Dave’s Domestic Household Agency.

    These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our recruitment and introduction services for private households.

    By using our services or engaging the Agency to introduce candidates, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

    Dave’s Domestic Household Agency operates solely as an introduction agency and does not employ candidates directly.

  • Dave’s Domestic Household Agency provides recruitment and introduction services for private household staff, including but not limited to:

    • Nannies

    • Housekeepers

    • Private Chefs

    • Butlers

    • Personal Assistants (PA)

    • Estate Managers

    • House Managers

    • Gardeners

    • Domestic Couples

    • Security Personnel

    • Domestic Workers (including handyman, maintenance, rural or farm support roles)

    • Other household staff

    The Agency sources and introduces candidates based on the requirements provided by the client.

    The final hiring decision remains entirely with the client.

  • An introduction is deemed to have taken place when:

    • the Agency provides a candidate profile, CV, or details to a client, or

    • an interview is arranged between the client and the candidate.

    If a client hires a candidate introduced by the Agency within 12 months of the introduction, the Agency’s placement fee will be payable.

    This applies whether the candidate is engaged:

    • directly by the client

    • through a family member

    • through an associated business

    • through another intermediary following introduction by the Agency

  • A placement fee becomes payable once the client and the candidate enter into an employment agreement or engagement.

    The placement fee must be paid within 7 days of the client and candidate concluding their employment agreement.

    The amount payable will be based on the Agency’s current fee structure or written agreement.

    Failure to pay the placement fee within the specified period may result in recovery action for the outstanding amount.

  • If a candidate leaves the position within the agreed guarantee period, the Agency will make reasonable efforts to introduce a replacement candidate.

    Replacement services apply only if:

    • the full placement fee has been paid

    • the client has complied with employment laws

    • the role conditions remain substantially the same

    Replacement periods may vary depending on the role.

  • All candidate information provided by the Agency, including CVs and personal details, is strictly confidential.

    Clients must not share candidate information with third parties without written permission from the Agency.

    If a candidate introduced by the Agency is hired by a third party following the client’s introduction, the Agency’s placement fee remains payable.

  • The client is responsible for:

    • interviewing candidates

    • verifying references

    • agreeing employment contracts

    • complying with applicable employment laws

    • paying salary and benefits

    • providing appropriate working conditions

    The Agency does not act as the employer.

  • The Agency may conduct reasonable screening of candidates, including:

    • Verification of legal Right to Work in the United Kingdom

    • Identity and documentation verification

    • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks, where applicable

    • Professional reference checks from previous employers

    • Review and verification of employment history and experience

    • Confirmation of relevant qualifications, licences, and training certificates

    • Driving licence verification, including review of penalty points where relevant

    • Verification of professional conduct, reliability, and character through references

    • Additional background checks, depending on the position and client requirements

    • Where appropriate, drug screening or further background verification

    However, the Agency cannot guarantee the accuracy of information supplied by candidates.

    Clients should conduct their own due diligence before employment.

  • Dave’s Domestic Household Agency shall not be liable for:

    • the actions or conduct of candidates

    • employment disputes between clients and candidates

    • damages or losses caused by employees

    • the performance of candidates after placement

    The Agency acts solely as an introduction service.

  • The Agency processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

    Candidate and client information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • All parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding:

    • personal information

    • candidate details

    • private household matters

    • employment arrangements

    Such information must not be disclosed to third parties without permission.

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

    Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  • By using the services of Dave’s Domestic Household Agency, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
